Totally socked in with fog at home yesterday morning so I headed south and a bit inland to my favorite yellow warbler tick infested field :)
There was a high fog here as well and there is a big hill behind where I photograph from so the sun comes up about 30 minutes later than on the flat lands.
For a few moments I had wonderful bright filtered "early" light for this spot. The trees on the hill are still in bud which added to the warm component of the light.
The OOF BG has mostly leafed out now but there is still one stand of maples on the other side of the pond with red buds so I positioned myself with that as a background before the sun reached this spot and at the split second the sun crested the hill behind, this beauty flew in and started singing.
I would have liked just a bit of a head turn as I had to be at this angle to the subject for the BG I wanted, but overall I am, pleased with this image creation.
Best part about this spot is that in 5 years I have never once seen another soul here doing anything. It's just me, the ticks, black flies and the wild life :)

Left this tagged as Adobe RGB as the conversion to dRGB really porks the reds and yellows on the web.
