took this shot the other week, lighting was not the best, but still worth keeping, critics welcome good or bad.thanks.cannon 7d,400mm prime lens cannon,tripod,f5.6,1/320sec,iso800,cropped,little sharpening in ps.
I think it's great Chris, minimalist perch, colourful breast shown off perfectly in a nic pose. A little sun would indeed make it pop, but I know all too well how it is in the UK. I do think you could run heavier noise reduction on the background.
Poor light handled very well. I think the suggestion of adding a touch of fill is very valid. I might crop a bit off the left. Don't think you need that much space.
Chris, super pose on the tiny perch, and just love the colours on these guys. That BG is really colourful and adds so much to the image. I agree taking a bit off the left wont harm the image.
Chris, loved the natural light, pose with subtle head turn and the Bg is really sweet. Some NR on the BG will help IMO. If mine, I'd try bringing the black point in a tiny bit to bring some contrast punch.
Hi Chris. This is a great pose, I'm OK with the lighting, and the bird is very sharp. The two tweaks I would suggest to strengthen the image (nr on background and cropping a little off the left) have already been noted above. Well done.
What a lovely shot. I agree about taking some off the left. I love the detail in the feathers and the bud in his foot. A very dreamy picture. I like it!
