    Chris:

Lots to like here, sharp, neat pose, like the bud captured in his grip, background, composition.

I wish there was a bit more light on the face. Just the tiniest bit of fill flash to balance out the natural lighting would have been useful.

    Cheers

I think it's great Chris, minimalist perch, colourful breast shown off perfectly in a nic pose. A little sun would indeed make it pop, but I know all too well how it is in the UK. I do think you could run heavier noise reduction on the background.

Poor light handled very well. I think the suggestion of adding a touch of fill is very valid. I might crop a bit off the left. Don't think you need that much space.

Sweet shot. Lovely colors and detail. In the absence of fill flash, a little dodging of the face might help.

Chris, super pose on the tiny perch, and just love the colours on these guys. That BG is really colourful and adds so much to the image. I agree taking a bit off the left wont harm the image.

Chris, loved the natural light, pose with subtle head turn and the Bg is really sweet. Some NR on the BG will help IMO. If mine, I'd try bringing the black point in a tiny bit to bring some contrast punch.

Nice image of this cute little bird. The puffed up belly and the colours stand out well. A bit of noise reduction may have helped.

Hi Chris. This is a great pose, I'm OK with the lighting, and the bird is very sharp. The two tweaks I would suggest to strengthen the image (nr on background and cropping a little off the left) have already been noted above. Well done.

Good suggestions above...I like the way the feet are grasping the perch and is that a seed pod?

What a lovely shot. I agree about taking some off the left. I love the detail in the feathers and the bud in his foot. A very dreamy picture. I like it!

I like the natural lighting and the pose. A catchlight would have made this standout. Great shot.
