Wish I had a better BG to go with this one . Lovely bird which comes to my parents garden . Had to use extension tube to get this one.

Camera : Canon 1D Mk III
    Lens : Canon 600mm f4 IS , 22mm extension tube
    Aperture : f4
    Shutters : 1/100
    ISO : 1250

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

Nice IQ and the surroundings are amazing...Love the colors. What a gorgeous bird. Im sure you know HA could have been better...Some may comment on the light TLHC, but does not bug me! I would be interested to know what the ext tube does on a long prime?

    Thanx Dumay ,
Yeah the HA could have been better too . The birds are very nervous with people around . The extension tube helps bring down the Minimum Focus Distance , the downside is that you lose focus at the far end too .

Rakesh, lovely setting for a perch, and those reds on the sunbird are really striking. The sunbird is nice and sharp in the right areas. Dumay has mentioned the HA and the lighter area TLC. I feel you could give this some more TLC in that area to really make this pop.

Rakesh, lovely bird and you've nailed the crimson. Uncluttered view of the bird is excellent. You didn't have the light to stop down here...which would have been better. Good one in difficult conditions.

That's what I love about this forum! I get to see beautiful birds from around the world photographed by people who know what to do with a camera!
