    Another shot from 600VR + 2X TCIII.
Had to apply a little more sharpening in PP than the other two TCs. But I am happy with the result.

    Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500)
    Aperture f/8.0
    Focal Length 1200 mm
    ISO Speed 400
    Exposure Bias +1/3 EV

Troy, I would be happy with that shot too. Excellent pose, head angle, detail, and color. The bg is perfect and I love the grass. What a great placement of the head and neck relative to the body, lining up with the tail and pointing at the corner of the frame. Super!

What makes this for me is he is out of the environment we usually see them. Techs look spot on and I love that he is on those rocks.

Nice one Troy. Beautiful BG and great pose, exposure spot on. I tried a modest Deblur in Topaz Infocus to push the sharpening a little further and to my eye it worked and added just a little extra punch to the image.

Great shot. The image exposure and light is excellent. Looks very sharp to me.
Personally, I would prefer a more natural habitat for this bird.

Looks perfect to me, nice technique at 1200, any suggestions for increased stability to those of us that are new?
I love the color of the background as many posted as well.

    Stan,

It was mounted on wimberly II on Gitzo, I have one hand stabilizing the front end of the lens, and I believe I may have used mirror up to avoid vibration.

Thanks Troy, I've never messed with the mirror, I should look into learning about that. You take some great pictures!

One of the best Anhinga images I've ever seen.
