I recently decided that full frame cameras were not for me. I sold my D700 and for a while used my D70 --- , yup my D70.

Well last week I purchased a D7000 and prepared myself to be disappointed. Wow, I couldn't have been more wrong. Not only did I get more reach, more megapixels, a very sharp camera out of the box. I even tried a few movies , with less than stellar results.
I will buy another camera some day but like my 300 2.8 lens, this camera is a keeper. Only thing I haven't tried yet is flight shots.

This image show the sharpness, the image is handheld, focus in at the grass where it meets the water, framed and aged using Fotosketcher.

This looks great, Paul, and nice vintage treatment. What is most impressive from this image and others I've seen from the D7000 is the lack of noise at high ISO. What was the ISO on this?

Thanks Brendan, this was iso 500 but hand held at 1/100th of a second, f7.1..sorry been so long I forgot the specs.....

Big congratulations on the new camera. I like the artistic look to this, I might tone done the very middle grass if it were mine and take a sliver off the bottom. Good eye for this Paul.
