Super shot of this flighty little beauty. I'm jealous; I've been struggling with warblers this Spring, and the Redstart is one of many that keeps eluding me. Detail on his signature color patch is lovely. I'm of two minds about the oof leaf on the left, but were it mine I might try a version with it removed to see which looks better. (The BG may look too plain without it.) In any event I think I would take out the flash catchlight. Nicely done.

Lovely bird, excellent detail and colors. The repost is a definite improvement. Would have been nice if the bird's head was turned a bit towards the viewer.

I like both versions, but the biggest issue IMO is the head angled away. Great male specimen here, a good look at its wonderful colours.

I think the repost is an improvement. Very nice color, sharpness and background. I agree about the head angle and here's another vote for removing the flash-generated catchlight - you already have a nice natural highlight in the eye and IMO the flash-generated catchlight just looks artificial.

As per Steve my vote also goes for the report. Excellent sharp detail and exposure looks very good.
