Took this Bison shot at the indian reservation a while ago, thought it might make a good subject for the old photo treatment. I followed Christopher's old photo tutorial and used two textures from Shadowhouse, using multiply and soft light blending modes, and some dodging & burning. That is a great tutorial, very easy to follow, and now I finally know how to use textures! Thanks for providing that for us Christopher.

Brendan, I love that stare I would think you'd need a little more texture on the nose and maybe reveal the hoof a little more - he looks like he's standing on top of the grass if that makes sense. It really does look like an old photo.

Thanks, Cheryl, appreciate your feedback, as I'm new to this technique. I'll have to build out some of the hoof as it was hidden in grass.

Looks great, Brendan. Glad you found the tutorial helpful. I love the textures and color tones. I think I would add a bit more texture to the bison's leg and/or reveal the grass a bit more. Well done!

Thanks Christopher, had fun doing this. I see what you mean, the grass did get kind of washed out.

Brendan, Great job with this and some really good suggestions above. I like the idea of more texture to the face(just a little) and less on the grass.
