    Default Blue Jay

This is another image from my backyard set up. We live along a big lake and every fall and spring the Blue Jays fly along the shoreline. On this day I had the Jays falling out of the tree like leaves in the fall. At times there were 20 plus around me. All c&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Nice pose, BG and sharp. A nicer perch could make this a real winner.

Great DOF and lovely look back pose. great soft BG and great feather detail. Perch is OK and I like the diagonal (sort of) that it creates

Neat look-back pose, and I too don't mind the perch (love its' curvature). Beautiful BG. I'd probably lighten the iris jusat a tad...but all else looks great.

I like the pose, the DOF, the BG, and the sharpness! The stick is fine, I think, giving a nice rhythm to the composition when combined with the angle and "flex" of the Jay's body. Nice shot!

Good look back pose Jim, and good choice of aperture too - you got the DOF covered nicely. I do like the different blues and greys on the bird, and if anything, I would maybe crop a touch off the top to eliminate the darker band.
