    Photographed in an Egret rookery on the edge of extensive rice fields. These fields supplied an abundance of aquatic food for a rookery of some 900 nests.

    Canon EOS 3, Canon 100-400mm, ISO 200, Natural light (setting sun behind the nest) plus fill flash. tower with hide at 22 feet, Tripod.

    Great capture John, I admire your tower work.

    I have just returned from a trip to the Gippsland lakes but as a result I am an inpatient for a week after falling down a cliff.

    Thems the breaks.:)

    Beautiful capture John and excellent detail and color. Really like this family moment you captured in this image . IMO I would like to see a touch more canvas on top. Thanks for sharing .
