    Hi Folks;

    Photographed this female Anna's Hummingbird in our garden and did a simple PixelBender Oil Painting with it.

    Comments welcome & appreciated.

    Warm regards

    Gus

    Gus,

    I like the simplicity created by the effect. One's attention is now focused on the shape of the hummingbird which is quite beautiful. Love the pastel colors, composition and amount of negative space. One very minor point... I wish PB didn't create such a large area of straight lines to the right of the bird. Well done!

    Hi Richard;

    Here it is finished off in free Fotosketcher with its backgound.

    Maybe you like this one better ?

    Though it took the sleek look off the hummer.

    Gus,

    Actually I find them both stunning though I like the glassy look of the first a bit more.

    Gus,

    Yes, that's my favorite of the three. Beautifully done.

    Very nice, Gus, beautiful pose, capture, and PB treatment looks great on the Anna's. I like the open space, and like the last two versions best.

    I like the final too Gus!! Nice work with the filter and having it only on the bird really makes it stand out.
