    This is a male Snail Kite returning to his nest with a piece of an Island Apple Snail for his mate. What I really liked about this image was the shadow on the far wing.

    Hi Jim,

    I agree! The shadow on the far wing makes the image. Of course the nice background, the sharp and well exposed bird, and prey doesn't hurt either.
