    took this a few weeks ago,on the river calder lancashire,I was squatting in the middle of the river to get a few shots of the young dippers,there was 4 of them.cannon 7d,400mm cannon prime lens,hand held squatting.iso 400,1/640 sec,f8.cropped,little sharpening in ps.critics good or bad.thanks.

    Good behavioural capture, showing a good view of the claws. Comp wise, I would add a bit more to the right, as he is a tad centered as is. I feel some NR on the BG is needed too.

    Sharpness and detail are great! Not sure about the composition being so square with the bird so big in the frame. Would crop much less and try a horizontal.

    thanks for critics,Stuart,yes I agree about the noise in the BG,was not thet bad,until I uploaded it,but did not know how to take it off BPN,ajust noise,and put it back on BPN.Ofer I agree about the comp.thanks again.

    Sweet detail and an interesting look at the bottom of the feet. Agree with a horizontal crop.
