Default Embedded image on the Mark III

I just got a used Mark III and was wondering if I can have a RAW file + a Jpeg by default or I have to do it myself. Right now I am shooting RAW+ the smallest jpeg but is because I did it. If I remerber well, Arthur mentions that the Mark II includes a jpeg with the RAW files (by default?)
Just want to make sure that I got the things right on my end.

    Thanks for your help.

You have to set it yourself. There should be a menu option for Image size. Select RAW plus the JPEG quality that you want.

One correct answer is enough, isn't it?

All RAW file formats include an embedded jpeg that is used to build the histogram and for the LCD preview. The size and quality of the embedded jpeg will vary by camera. For example, the 1D Mk III embeds a Small jpeg (1936 x 1288) and the 1D Mk IV embeds a full size jpeg (4896 x 3264). In both cases, I believe the quality setting is Medium. If the size and quality of the embedded jpeg for your particular camera meets your needs, you can just continue to shoot in RAW and extract the embedded jpeg if and when it is needed via various programs like DPP, Breezebrowser, and PhotoMechanic. This has the advantage of using less space on the CF card and faster in-camera processing. However, if you want complete control over the size and quality of the jpeg, you need to choose one of the "RAW + jpeg" options provided by your camera.
