Default Great day for Egret, bad day for the fish.

Captured this a couple weeks ago in Harns Marsh. The water splash in this makes the image for me. Thoughts?

Superb shot!!! I totally agree with you the water really adds to the pic. The way the light is reflecting off the water is great. Great control of the whites as well. Well done.

Everyone has one of these shots in his portfolio. But what sets yours way over the top for me is the angle of the fish, heading out of the egret's mouth. Makes me want to know how the story ended. Love it Bob.

That is very cool!! Love the fish seemingly fleeing the egret's grasp. Even the egret as an expression that adds to the story. I would selectively sharpen the water splash. Well done Bob!!

Thanks everyone! I was thinking about removing some of the oof drops above the beak. I like the suggestion of sharpening the water a bit. Thanks!

I'm not sure if it would be an improvement, but I'm trying to visualize this
spectacular image with the orange background sometimes had in the marsh
that might accentuate the green in the egret's lores. The removal of water
droplets above the beak of the bird is an idea I'm not supportive of.
