Had a lot of fun shooting this sunflower yesterday. It was very cooperative, only a few minor complaints about the working conditions.CS5, adjusted BG color, some Topaz Detail & and PB oil.

Hi Brendan, this is very, very nice. The only thing I might consider is to mask back in the original blue sky so that the effect is only on the flower, but this is quite lovely!
Thanks, Andrew, much appreciated. Yeah, I can see now that I got a bit lazy with my selection. I actually replaced the original BG color, as it was shot indoors. I think I need to rework this some more.
Brendan, Nice work with the filter and the bright blue adds a bit of whimsy but Andrew also makes a good suggestion. I guess it would depend on my mood which I would prefer.
Great comp, detail and PB effect, Brendan. I like it very much as presented... But, Have fun reworking it.
