Brown pelican overlooking Santa Barbara channel. One of the blessings/curses of Santa Barbara is that it's rarely cloudy so the light is always hard. I liked the blues/greens in this shot as a compliment to the bird. Full frame except for some rotation to level the horizon and a bit cropped of the top to change the aspect ratio. I can't quite make out what the band says even in the full size image. Not a show stopper image but your feedback is appreciated.

Not a bad photo. It's not particularly sharp. Try increasing your ISO or slowing down your shutter speed in order to stop down your aperture for more DOF. I rarely photograph birds at f/4, particularly with plenty of ambient light.

Hi Leroy, Very nice pose you captured here and I like the eye contact. I agree with Doug's comments and would also like to see a little more canvas to the left as it appears a bit centered. Thanks for sharing.
