What a lovely first post. I love the lookback position. The feather detail is excellent and the whites look great.
The Bg is good. I only wish for a nicer perch but that is a very minor nit.

Hi Gary, actually it's a super second post! Overcast skies and fill flash make for shooting conditions that are hard to beat. Nice job with the flash!

This is a sweet capture and super result. Excellent detail, color, head angle, and composition. The background is perfect for me and you did a great job on the whites and that patch of red. Very nice job all around. Looking forward to more!

Excellent capture! Colors, detail, pose, composition, all very good. Nice use of the fill flash. I like the pose especially since it shows all the colors the bird has and the eye contact. The perch is somewhat large for my tastes (minor point).

This is a very good image Gary! Fine detail and color and he is indeed looking right down the lens barrel.

Bg is great. These birds usually migrate through my area but I saw none this year.
