Another image taken in the Malolotja Highveld mountain Reserve in Swaziland. Spring and early summer are great for photographing with the grassland covered in wildflowers and youngsters around providing great opportunities.

50D/EF500f4+1.4 f5.6@1/160 iso400 EC+0.33 FF applied rotation, cropped for pano, leveled BG mountain and applied NR. Removed an intruding flower.

    C&C allways welcome.

Lovely shot Pieter, love the flowers, low angle and cute calf. BG mountains add nicely to the scene TFS

Hi Pieter, there are some cracking images coming through the Forum, with some great light that really makes the image and this is no exception, love it. The POV as Vivaldo has mentioned, is spot on for me too, nice, low level, with the flowers 'peppering' the shot and the darkness of the BG really throws out the subject extremely well. An excellent Stock Shot in a superb surrounding habitat, beautiful.

Could not have bettered the techs 1/160, especially with the 50D, great result.

can only agree with the above Pieter...though I can see the sharpness of the head of the adult suffered from the slow SS, still very nicely taken and presented...

Malolotja is a place I still want to visit!

I agree with the above, but want to second Morkel's notice of the sharpness of the adults head. Try more selective sharpening there to see how it works.

Pieter - I'll echo the others, beautiful comp with mother and child well positioned, the wildflowers add to the image and great pov.
