A wild Great Egret nesting at Gatorland in full breeding plumage and color. He is intently watching the water for super. I am assuming that since this is a wild bird, not cpative and no HofM is shown, I am OK in this forum as location is not the deciding factor.

    Hey Robert,
Beautiful bird, are those white lines rain drops?

Seems like those lines are rain drops as I see some on the bird as well. Excellent job on exposure and I love the the green around the beak compliments the background. Thank you for sharing.

Those are rain drops so I did not remove them.

Robert, I am becoming to love these birds, they are sort of common but I believe I never pay the attention they deserve. this is a very nice image of a very nice bird indeed.

A nice head shot of this Great Egret Robert. I like your composition of the neck coming in from the top corner and nicely portrayed against a lovely soft BG. Whites look spot-on on my monitor ;)

A very nice image, Robert. I like the composition, colors, and detail in the whites. The falling raindrops and the few sparkles of raindrops on the head are a nice added touch.

Really nice portrait. I'd lose the rain drops (or add more).

Absolutely Beautiful Image. I noticed your camera choice for this one. Have you moved to the darkside?
