    Hello everyone. I found another burrowing owl that was bold enough to let me take a couple of shots. It was almost sundown so I really liked the light and pose it was giving me. Not to found of the perch but oh well. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
    Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 300F4w/1.7 tc, Exposure - 1/2000, Aperture - F6.7, ISO - 320, Metering - Spot, Aperture Priority.

    Hi Robert,
    The shot looks good. Please specify the spot you chose to do the spot metering. Did you also try (or had a chance) any other metering other than spot?

    I like the light and the pose. The BG is nice too, with a gradual transition to blue sky. Fine detail is a little lacking however.

    Nice BG & light, and I love burrowing owl eyes.

    If it were mine, I'd try a crop to take about half the post perch off from the bottom.

    Thank you all for all your feedback.

    Doug - after resizing for this forum I totally forgot to give the image another pass of sharpnening. The original has the fine detail.
