New Member from Denver, Colorado

Actually I'm a bit northwest of Denver in Westminster. Relatively new to birding and photography (2 years), a great horned owl stole my heart and got me into this. I now volunteer at a raptor rehabilitation center.

I shoot with a Canon 7D, 500mm f/4L lense and 1.4x extender. I'm considering a 1D-MkIV for improved low light shooting and would like to hear opinions from those who have used both cameras.
