    This is a fine looking bird which is nicely posed but the composition is too cramped and there may not be enough virtual tail room. A major problem for me is that whilst there are some sumptuous bg colours they compete too much with the bird. The bird has been feeding and the bill is not clean. Good luck if you can return to have another go.

    Agree with the above comment. Also the lighting put a harsh shadow under the beak. On the plus side, it looks very sharp.

    Nice pose and detail, and great look at his signature crossed bill; but I agree it is too tight and the rhododendrons detract from the lovely coloration of the bird.
