    Default Fantasy Cloud

It was real but looked like a fantasy cloud to me! Always look behind you when shooting a sunset! Split toned in Lightroom. Other filters used included Nik Color Efex, Pixel Bender and Topaz.

That is a great capture, Judy. Love the 3D feel and the painting effect. Great suggestion looking behind when shooting sunset!

Love it, Judy! Great capture and nicely processed. Neat BG silhouette and perfect dynamic range overall.

    Judy,

Stunning capture! I love the simplicity of the clouds produced by the effects and the quality of the light. It must have been a beautiful moment to behold. Well done.

Beautiful sunset with an amazing cloud formation Judy! A perfect example to emphasize looking behind when shooting sunrise and sunset images. Love the processing you did on this one. Very Nice

Really nice capture and comp, Judy. What an amazing scene, and must have looked awesome in person too. Love the glowing light on the cloud and water.

I think this type of photograph is so interesting, Judy. Sort of speaks to the vastness of the universe and how small our little piece of it really is. Very very nice!

Thanks Denise, Brendan and Maureen! Even though the scenery in our little neck of the woods is pretty boring, it has its moments!

Judy, this is breathtaking! You could do a clinic on sunsets!! What a great example of split toning with a color image. Really majestic and evocative of an emotional response. Super job!

Also great advice - always look behind you no matter what you are shooting! You never know what might be back there or what is going on outside the viewfinder unless you look around.

Thanks so much Kerry! Yes, sunsets became my favorite subject last summer. I hope there are more good ones to come this year.
