Hi Chris, I like the raised crest, seems like he's alerted to something. Exposure looks good from here, and overall, nice and sharp. Maybe a tad tight at the bottom.
Nice pose and exposure looks fine to me. Agree about adding some more room at the bottom. IQ is not great though and it looks oversharpened. Is it a big crop?
I'm reading this one like Ofer. Good exposure, tight at the bottom, and I'm too wondering about the IQ and whether you had to give the image a big crop. Crested kingfishers live here in China too, and it'd be hard to shoot one close with a 300 mm lens.
IQ kooks fine from here. Sharpening right to the edge, Yes to a bit more room below. For the over-the-shoulder pose
I would prefer the head perfectly square to the back of the camera, i.e.,, turned about one more degree towards us. All in all very nicely done.

very nice pose and great light, I agree IQ is not great due to a large crop or too much sharpening/NR.
