Diamond back water snake. Likes to hang out on this limb. This was the second time that I have seen her, at least I think its a she, on the same limb catching some morning sun. She is at least 4 feet long.

Does the long, narrow crop work for you?

    Mack,

Always good when they are predictable.

I realize you cropped this into a rule of thirds composition, but I do not feel the large FG is helping the image and detracts somewhat from the center of interest. i tried a crop for the bottom to just below where the horizontal branch goes into the water and liked it. You might wish to give it a try.

interesting presentation...I like it...unlike Robert I quite like it as is, the cropped version becomes too tight for my tastes

nice clarity and sharpness...do you have any "closer" shots?

Works for me. I like the mirrored image reflecting in the water. Looks like a nice healthy snake, must be eating good around there.

Hi Mack, I like the image design and comp for the subject, also fits nicely in its environment. Good exposure and detail. I might consider toning down the bright parts of the lower right branch.
