    Default Morning Reddish

Spent the morning with a very active Reddish on my recent trip to Ft Desoto, wish he had more color but he did give me some nice poses so prepare for a few more images in the coming days
Not the most conventional composition but it worked for me so I went with it over my initial thought to go with a vertical.

40D, 500 f/4, 1/2000 at f/5.6, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered + 1 1/3 (confirmed with histogram then just fired away), Raw, ISO 640, Tripod, Cropped and cleaned up the water with some cloning

I like the mid-air stride here Don...would maybe just add a hint of sharpness to the bird and some local contrast enhancement to make it pop...

Awesome pose and behaviour captured! Agree with Morkel about sharpening a bit more.

Hi Don. Very nice action captured against a clean background. I would agree with the comments above and the repost is clearly an improvement.

Nice! I love the comp you've chosen. The trail of water makes it work beautifully. Great pose too...sounds like you had fun with this fella - looking forward to the next images in the series

    P.S. Repost does look better...

Don, cool 'dancing' pose, and I like the head on capture. I also like the ballet pointed toes. Repost works better.
