I used Lightroom to split-tone the image - yellow orange for toning highlights and cyanish blue for the shadows. Then I used Pixel Bender and Topaz.

    Judy,

I love the effect on the clouds. The rays of the sun add drama. If it were mine I might consider cropping from the right to bring the edge closer to the cloud. Beautifully done.

Judy, I like the center large ray that beams upward. The clouds are really cool, they look hand painted! Very nice work Judy!

Love what PB-oil did to the clouds, Judy. The beams are wonderful.

Thanks Richard! I thought about cropping it on the right but decided I liked it as is.

Judy, really nice work both in the capture and the PP. The light beaming through the clouds really makes this one special. Good show!

I would not have guessed this was a duo-tone image. I'm just learning about that technique. Nice work on emphasizing the two colors. I'd like to see the sun a bit more to one side or the other. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Anita! From what I've read, if an image is symmetrical it's OK for the main subject to be centered and in this case it works for me.

Judy, I love the rays, the colors and the clouds. All look wonderful with the processing you applied. When I shoot sunrise/sunsets these days I always shoot a couple with the sun dead center. I am really starting to like them like that a lot.
