Love the mood but not the too-centered COMP. Spent 15 min on the not very good repost--too few pixels but it might give you an idea. IQ is low with the bird not real sharp. My we see the full frame original please?

Agree with the comp issue. Here is the original image converted in ACR with no sharpening. I looked at the AF points activated and there are two active, one on the left wing and the other on the chest of the bird.

Agree about the slightly too centred comp. Taking a sliver off the left and bottom of frame might remedy itBird looks great amongst the clouds like that

Had a rethink. I think this is better but I do like the scale of the first image with the clouds. Added a bit more sharpening to the image.

Lots of cropping options. The bird looks much better here. (:Thanks BTW for posting the original.) As per my 7D User's Guide 19-Point Auto Select would have allowed you to come up with an off-centered subject in the field and enjoy the wider expanse of clouds....
