    Default St. Augustine Pier HDR

A 5 image HDR from my recent Florida trip. Rested the camera on a piling sticking out of the sand as I had no small tripod with me. Processed in Photomatix with very little tonemapping done. Slight crop in CS3 and not much else. 5 images in 1 stop increments.

That's really stunning, Joe. I can't decide if I like the muted tones below the bridge better or worse than the brighter ones in the sky. to me, they feel a tiny bit muddy below the bridge but I think a slight increase in saturation would do it. Let's see what the others say, though...

Love the comp...that is really a special scene and I love the way the sunlight gets half hidden behind a piling...makes it just the right amount of shimmer without being overpowering.

Joe, Really nice HDR work and the composition is lovely! Beautiful colors. A teeny bit of halo on the pier closest to us but nothing serious. Awesome!!!

Hi Joe, a very nice HDR, looks beautiful. For an alternate version of this I would crop some off the top as well. I think it looks nice as a pano too!

Joe, nice control and application of the HDR technique. I really like the glowing colors of the sunset and the pier leading off into the ocean. Great feel and look!
