    Default Flower texture

    First go at a texture all help appreciated used gradient then texture and multiply ( i Think ) by the time i finished i was lost. Will learn to make notes as i go.

    Grahame, Very nice first go at a texture. I like the texture you chose and you did a great job revealing the flower. I might tighen up the comp. a little if it were mine. The darker area at the bottom is maybe a hair too dark IMO. Nice work and I am looking forward to seeing more. These can be so fun to do!

    I agree with Denise...it's a beautiful start with textures and I love the mood it creates but it does feel a bit dark and lost at the bottom. More of an oval or round lightness in the center reaching down further into the middle area might work better than this more horizontal / gradient feel. Still...very nice work!

    Very nice texture work, Grahame. The BG complements the flower very nicely. I agree with Denise and Jules that the bottom seems overly dark. Personally I think it might look better with a vignette instead.

    Grahame, I like the texture work. I think rotating it slightly and creating more of a vertical crop would look nice also with a vignette as Christopher suggests. Nice job

    Thank you for your help and comments cropped the botton and made it lighter then cropped a little off the left

    Congratulations for your first try at textures! Good job! The texture you chose works beautifully with the flower. Your repost corrects the problems of the first image.
