Ken - great pose and pov. The bg looks a little funky but having never been there I'm not sure what it should look like. I would crop some from the rhs.

    Hi Ken,
Good to know that you had come to India. Nice pose. Eye contact is good. Reducing the colour temperature would be good.

    Cheers,

I agree on the slight crop from the RHS and am also wondering what you did to the BG vegetation if anything?

Man, you say another Sloth Bear as if they were a dime a dozen...
A great, clean, crisp shot. I agree that the yellow vegetation steals the show a little. Easily remedied.

From what I know, Bears are usually baited (with honey or meat) in many Eastern European countries and even in this particular sanctuary in India. Was that the case here, Ken ?

At any rate, lovely low angle and the light is spectacular.

    Harshad,

You are quite right I should have left the yellow as was, after all thats what it looked light.

    Kirk

I would not use the word baited these Bears are from a group with one youngster, and their food is "supplemented" on a daily basis for the purposes of preserving them.

Thans to everybody for your comments, I feel privileged to have had good sightings of these bears at last.

Here is a repost "as was" sharpened and cropped

Good one Ken. I hope you got a lot of behavioral shots of these. And since it was April month you visited, did you get any piggy backing images (yet to go through your other images from India series, so not sure if you have already posted one).

Thanks for your comments on the repost I like it better as well.

Unfortunately just one which is not that good, most of the piggy backing was obscured from my position by rocks, my wife has a little video as she was high up in the tower at the bottom of the rocks.
