    Nikon D3s 600 VR with 1.7 converter. Taken at 1000mm. 1/4000sec at F8 ISO 1600.
I was very pleased getting this shot. A different species for me. I found this bird to be very small and decided to try my 1.7 converter. The autofocus suprised me as it managed to keep up with this fast bird.

Vivaldo, good timing for the take off, and I like the trailing water droplets. Tack sharp where it counts, with good detail and colours around the head and eye. Well captured.

    Nice action shot.

I like the composition with the water drops behind and nice room in front.

It must be quite fast. I don't recall seeing wing blur at 1/4000 ss.

Nice job on the lighting as well.

Very sharp and I like the splash wand water droplets behind the bird.

Love the muddy water splashes and light...Lovely pose which is quite different to the norm...I saw my first Gabar's this week and also the day after got to see the Melanistic morph 'All black'...As you can imagine I was pretty chuffed
