    Decio, striking colours on the pheasant, and I like the 'trotting' pose with the raised back leg. In an ideal world we would like the pheasant to be running parallel to the camera, or slightly towards you. Comp wise, you have plenty of space for him to run into, but more space is needed behind him too. Hope that helps.

    Lovely colours on the pheasant and good for you to catch him out in the open.

    You can post larger photos and that would reveal more details about the photo and the pheasant. There is more info. about posting as a sticky not in the Tutorials and Education Forum.

    Neat to get this way out in the open. I agree with Stuart about subject angle, and space behind (for the clipped tail), and to me the red face looks a tad oversaturated. "Spot" can be tough to use for metering birds - what area did you meter on?
