For a very short while we had some Spring time in Holland next to rain and even snowfall.
This one had spring in it's mind with only 2 hours of sunlight, taken in the morning at
    07:30u am.

You caught him singing too :)
Did you use flash? The weeds may seem distracting to some, but they show the habitat. Only wish the one behind him wasn't there.

Thanks Fabs. I didn't use flash. Yeah well I know what you mean, but as it was singing the weed was jumping all kind of directions, so it's a bit hard to capture it at the right moment. I did choose for a more environmental shot next to the close up one, I maybe post later. I think most people shoot already a lot of close ups and I find that a bit boring, because a lot
of photos can be seen as a "standard"..no offence! as for myself I like to show it's natural habitat too.

Gorgeous bird and I completely agree that some habitat makes the image. For my taste there is too much OOF habitat and it becomes somewhat distracting.

    Cheers,

I would clone out the branch behind the bird. Other then that great habitat shot... and singing to boot. Thanx for sharing.
