    You could just hear both mum and the little female cub saying: 'behave'.

    Taken mid afternoon on one of the inlets flowing out to sea in Katmai. This family proved to be great fun that afternoon, especially the boisterous male cub who was full of beans and extremely confident, no worries about these two making it through the harsh winter.

    MKIII 300f/2.8 plus 1.4x 1/2500sec f/5.6 ISO400
    (Kept ISO high as the weather was changeable with cloud, plus I wanted to ensure if there was any action there was enough SS)

    Steve,

    The eyes on all three bears really make this image. The phase angle is great too showing good detail in the fur. Nicely done. I would not change a thing.

    Super shot Steve, the eye contact and the interaction with the inclusion of the habitat make this a top shot for me...

    Beautiful detail and composition with the animal interaction just wonderful. Love the dof and pov you have here. As Roger said, wouldn't change a thing.

    Exceptional image Steve...Eye contact from all 3 and the look on the back cubs face is priceless. Great IQ and light and the cub with mouth open is superb...This is top class stuff...

    I do like your bear images Steve and echo the comments above, great interaction and eye contact. Nice BG gives it a pleasing environmental feel.
