    Harshad:

Striking fellow, one I don't believe I have seen before.

The dappled lighting is always a challenge. You did get nice light on the face, but the abdomen looks a bit hot to me. I wish the background illumination was a bit more uniform, with the light area up behind the head, as it would help the dark bird standout better from the dark background.

Nice angle in frame, sharp, prey item, all pluses.

    Cheers

Harshadbhai, super pose, and you have brought out the blacks on chest and head nicely. His catch a bonus. Would moving to your left have eliminated the bright area?

Interesting lighting and it looks very tough to get exposure right.

Nice pose, perch and composition. As mentioned catch is a real nice bonus.

The downside for me is the dark bg along the top side of the profile.

It is quite dramatic and a touch higher would have been top notch for me.

Harshad, killer shot of a tough one. This is an absolute nightmare for exposure. Excellent HA and food always a bonus. As Randy said, a slightly higher angle would have been better. Not sure how much time he gave you. Loved this one.

nice pose Harshad, the dark feathers get a bit lost in the dark BG and there are a few hot spots but overall a great shot.
