    Default Harris's Hawk at Elephant Head - Oil Painting

    Hi Folks;

    Took this photo of Elephant Head mountain about a year ago which was East of where I was standing, then took a shot of a beautiful Sunset to the West and combined them both using Photoshop. As Elephant head is home to a lot of Harris’s Hawk I superimposed a head of one to complete the presentation. After Charles Glazer posted his beautiful Lion oil painting and kindly gave us the link for Pixel Benders with Oil Painting I downloaded it and converted my Elephant Head, Hawk composition to a Pixel Bender Oil Painting using CS5.

    Comments Welcome and always appreciated very much

    Warm hugs

    Gus

    BTW: IF you find you can’t install Pixel Benders because of false message saying “You don’t have administration permission” Here is fix: “Right click on the extension manager shortcut and choose Run as Administrator and then navigate to the pixel bender installer from within the extension manager to install the pixel bender plugin.

    Gus, I love the colors and juxtaposition of images. I also appreciate the tip on installing Pixel Bender - that was my next project

    I just recently found Pixelbender's oilpainting filter and love it! This is just superb, Gus. I love how his head seems to be coming right over the mountains and I like the lighter yellow on both sides - it pulls your eye right to him. The treatment is dreamy and imposing all at the same time. It's lovely!

    This is really nice, Gus. Love the way the bird seems so imposing, but seems to fit so well at the same time. The dramatic colors are perfect. Great job with PB/Oil.
