    I like the pose. Nice shot. I would have opted for a tighter crop that eliminates the wood stump and just shows the nest. Great wing position.

    Nice pose and action captured. I see Tom's suggestion regarding the perch and even though I am not sold on the man-made perch the image in the repost looks a little cut off on the bottom. I might boost the contrast a little if it were mine. Nice sharpness and I wish that one small stick weren't there but it is not a deal killer. I would also take a small slice off the top. I love the hint of clouds in the background.

    Dan,

    I agree with Denise on the crop and contrast - but don't go to heavy with a curves adjustment. I suggest a levels adjustment, black dropper set to RGB 32,32,32 and hit the dark spot behind the eye. That will make the blacks POP.
