This is the first PP I have seen this so called Spring - 22 degrees - 4th day of wind - why this guy/gal is back here in Maine so early confounds me! 1D M3 (just got it!) 500f4, AIservo, AV f6.3 at 1/800 iso 200 - Handheld - Bob
Very cute individual, and quite hardy. I 'd be tempted to crop off some of the bottom, and accentuate the faint catchlight. I like the running motion on the legs!
Really cool textures on the ground and the orange of the legs and bill contrast nicely with the blueish tones of the rest of the image. I only wish the bird were looking more towards us than away.
Hey Bob, nice shot of this plover. Definitely the earliest I have heard of them coming up here, was this at goose rocks? Congrats on the mark iii! See ya around!
Doug, Yes, Goose Rocks. Boy did they look cold, holding one leg up off the frozen sand/water. Found one on 3/24 and 2 on tuesday AM - Take a look at the fox posted in Wildlife - also from Tuesday AM at GRB - Warmer weather and Warblers on the way!!! Bob
