Default Flying Fox - for play....

    Attached Images Attached Images

    Canon 7D, Canon 600 f4, x1.4, 1/640, iso 640, f8, tripod, full Wimberley

It's the Grey-headed Flying Fox mating season. In a local "camp" of a few thousands bats the activity is in its peak with vocal sexual activity everywhere...
Before the act there is usually a prolonged stage of for-play - always performed by the male....

Ofer - nice interaction and behavior captured. The blue sky is a pleasing bg but I would smooth it out at the bottom of the image and get rid of the gold if it is not against your ethics.

    Ofer,

    A very "clean" image

The green at the bottom does not bother me at all.

A bit more turn on the head of the female would have made this more than perfect.

Excellent IQ and detail, Ofer, and like your comp too. Those rusty patches of fur really light up well. Nicely done all around

Good capture of the behavior and nice clean BG though I agree with the green OOF foliage at the bottom. Perhaps bending down some could have eliminated that.

I feel the image is soft and in need of additional sharpening. Before making such a suggestion I did the sharpening to be sure. I also evicted the green and the solid blue BG rocks IMO.

I like the beautiful colours in the fur of the bats shown here, and the texture of the skin and detail of the claws. I tend to agree with Robert's assessment regarding an extra round of sharpening which would bring out those details even further. Love the tongue and find the colour of the eyes most interesting.

Amazing image Ofer. Never seen a bat courtship before.
