This is quite stunning Arash - the pink on green gives the image a 3d feel.

Can I ask - did you run a blur on the backgrond or just a noise reduction? Or nothing? And if so how did you select the bird to separate in from the background. Just interested in peoples ways of doing things.

I run NR on the BG to eliminate high ISO noise. I don't run blur on the BG however, because it makes the image look unnatural, you have to get it right in the camera. For selecting the bird there are 5-6 different methods depending on the photo. I usually use the quick selection brush in CS5 plus some manual tweaking of the mask. hope this helps.

*Wow* what a nice color has this bird. Sharpness is very good. I like the blurry dark green background in combination with the colors of the bird.

    Well done

Arash, good flying posture with the raised wings, and overall well exposed. The spoonbill is separated nicely from the BG, and I just love the colour of your spoonbills.

Wow. Quite amazing what detail is picked up at high ISO's by some cameras now and when in the right hands.

Lovely pose and bg is very complimentary.

Arash, beautiful shot. I like the background colors complimenting the pinks of the bird and as always, good focus/detail. Did you take your new camera body to Florida? I don't seem to have seen any images with it.

I did Tom but unfortunately I did not find a lens to use it...even rental places did not have a 600VR in stock :(
