    Annoying birds at times, but their colors are sure pretty! Would love your feedback... Thanks!
    Canon 7D, 70-200 F/4 IS + 1.4TC at 288mm, F5.6, ISO 800. Early morning. Converted, slight crop, in LR, sharpened, NR in CS5.

    Beautiful color and detail Like the intense stare. Could you have increased the F stop to increase the DOF to get the tail more in focus?

    I agree with Ray, super sharp on the body but legs and tail.....
    obvious a tough light situation, still looks great for iso 800 on the 7D.

    Hi Steve, nice capture of the indigo hues on this bird. Good sharp eye and head angle and the background is lovely. You might consider cloning or painting out that brighter green splotch on the right side just above the bird. Nicely done!

    I love grackles and they make great photo subjects. Nice one here Steve. Beautiful colours and the eye is piercing! I like the sweep of the perch which works with the bird really well.
