I could sneak up so close to him that I had to remove my 400 because of its MFD :-) Wishing the drop was bigger...which is what I was waiting for for but he turned his head away.

    All C&C welcome.

Love the pano crop, sharpness, and the water droplet. I'd like to see a bit more of the bird's head and neck included in the crop on the right side of the frame. I might darken the BG just a little.

Good choice of crop for this KD, and what incredible detail. The droplet certainly adds interest. I actually like the yellow in the BG as is.

Love the crop. BG, textues as well as IQ are superb...I would also like to have seen a bit more of the neck, but if this is what you were going for you naled it to perfection

Thx guys. I dont have a lot of neck in this shot. Whatever I have doesn't add much. I did get a few minutes with him to take some shots. here's one that has the whole head. This one's almost full as well. I don't think you can compare the two though.

I like the last one better Kaustubh, the crown really balances it nicely, just lighten a bit more.

It is a tough choice between the two. Both are very fine photos. I prefer the bg in first and pose in second.
A third option may be a tad more room on left for second photo.

Good for you to get such nice shots of a very common bird. And such clean bills. Wow.

Both are handsome shots, Kaustubh. I might like the second one better if it were cropped up from the bottom to show less of the neck, but of course that one doesn't have the water drop. Nice that you have both.
