Hi Josiah, Nice looking Oriole with plenty of details in the blacks and he contrast nicely against the BG I also like the diagonal perch.

I love orioles, and wish I could get a nice close-up of one up here (no luck, yet). I like the BG, and the vertical comp - although I'd prefer a bit less room at bottom. The harsh light made the image a bit too contrasty, and the brighter area on the perch would need toning down. There is a slight "muddy" blur on the BG near the nape that perhaps suggests some PS work done in that area...if not, then I would still clean it up.
Dan hit all the problem areas. You did a good job with sharpness and d-o-f but the harsh light is the biggest problem.
