The water around here was frozen for so long that I only recently started creating new water images. This one came about on a very overcast day and I never did see what was creating the air bubbles beneath the surface.

I used the Topaz Clean filter and then did a black and white conversion to get the final effect. I also added some surface blur and did my best to pull out all the debris that was floating on the surface of the water.

Very nice, Jules. I like the B&W and the bubbles do leave you wondering what's down there

Julie, I love the bubbles and the ripples created by them among the movement of the water surrounding them. The B&W really works nicely here too!

Thanks so much, Maureen and Andrew. I may go back and add a little bit more room on the right as I now see I came pretty close to cutting off those concentric circles. It's funny what you don't see until you post!

Jules, A little more room might be good. I love the mercury look to this and the concentric circles. The bubbles do add interest.

Very cool image, Jules, and nicely seen. B&W was a good choice, and nice subtle filter work. I like how the larger ripples intersect with the smaller concentric ones and the bubbles do add curiosity. The title helps too

Julie, you are really good with these water images! I too think the b&w was a good choice here. I like the reflective surface with those patterns as also the concentric circles; almost like vibrations in water.
