    Here is a white throated sparrow from Garrett Mountain, a migrating warbler/sparrow hotspot. 1D mark IV, 800 f5.6 with 1.4x III, iso 640, f10, 1/250 shot from vehicle blind with 580ex flash and better beamer.

    Nice detail and killer BG. I might have kicked up the flash a bit more.

    Nice capture, like Alan said, a great BG and with great head angle. I might consider to lighten the image a bit...

    Nice pose on this little one. The BG is lovely and compliments your sparrow well. I see Alan's point of upping the flash just a tad but there is something natural about seeing just a tad of shadowing on the head. If it were mine, I would remove the second catchlight.

    I like the pose showing off the details of the bird. As mentioned the bg is lovely.

    I am also thinking a bit lighter particularly in the facial area may be nice as well.

    One of my favorite sparrow species. I like the pose, and the BG. Good diagonal from the perch. I'm used to seeing the throat and crown lines whiter than this individual has. I'd prefer a looser crop, and PP-wise just be careful with the BG bleeding onto the perch from below.
