Love the spread wings and fanned tail feathers. Good sharpness and nice inclusion of desert habitat. I'd like to see this one posted at 1024 pixels! What's he got in his beak?

Dale, your Caracara images have been splendid...this one lives up to those high standards. I really like the size and placement of the bird in the frame. Loved the habitat BG...blurred enough and still gives a very nice idea of the surroundings. Excellent AF work and catchlight really helps.

Love the wingspread and position of wings. It would be nice to think what he has in his beak is from his own catch but if this is from S. Texas, that is probably unlikely. Even though the wildflowers are competing with the raptor, I really like seeing them.

Great timing for the landing, and capturing the full wingspread. Sharp detail, and I like the colours on this fellow. I would maybe tone down the BG a tad, as I feel it will make the bird pop even more.

This is very well composed with exposure and sharpness all excellent. I like the background which places the bird in its habitat; however, I do find my eye drawn to the shadows in the upper left. When I hold my left hand over that area then take it away it makes me think that lightening the shadows there would improve the composition. I like it a lot!
