    Dan:

    Strong leading lines from the wings,nice display of feather detail on higher wing.

    The light angle created shadows, the most noticeable being on the birds left side of face/eye.
    Perhaps try to lighten that a bit.

    Just a bit more canvas top and left would be nice.

    nice try but this one doesn't really work, light is too harsh and focus is on the wing instead of the head, the near wing position and the square crop also take away from it.
