I pulled out a photo of my pug, Gracie, and since I've been playing around with Adobe's plug-in, Pixelbender lately I applied the "Oilpaint" filter to it. I then added a vignette border and tonal contrast in Nik's Color Efex program. The final tweak was a bit of sharpening to the eye and tongue.

Jules, The tongue is outstanding! I really like the treatment and the artistic impression on this one. Gracie is cute as ever!

Gracie looks adorable, Jules. The filter treament and open tongue give her a rather goofy look. Very nicely done!

Very interesting effect, Julie. To me it looks like an embossed tile
    Especially like the tongue!

Miss Gracie is very cute, Julie. I like the impressionistic painterly quality. Great tongue, and the fold like effect you got with PB oil works well with the folds and creases that pugs have.

What I like the most is how the curving lines lead me to the curving tongue--perfect! The soft tones are lovely. I like the darker area at the top--sort of a frame. Very nicely done!
